03-02-2010 - Likewise The group of Facebook, "Manifesto in defense of the fundamental rights in Internet", that yesterday delivered more than 13.000 signatures. Freedom 2.0 has entrusted the first 9.000 signatures gathered to the Association of Internet Users (AUI) and the Association of Net users (AI), organizations members of the permanent Commission of the CATSI, and who were delivering these 22.000 signatures in the CATSI, to ask for elimination of the First Additional Disposition of the Law of Sustainable Economy (THEY), for the elimination of the Digital Canon and a major concision in the universal service for the access to Internet with wide band. The meeting of the permanent commission of the CATSI takes place after the request realized by the associations of Net users on January 16 and after the mobilization arisen in the network, against the first additional disposition of THEY that he proposes a series of legislative changes to allow the closing web page in the maximum space of four days by request of a commission dependent on the Department of Culture when affected works are seen with intellectual property rights.
At the last hour, it has been known for the mass media, that the Government has invited to the Creators' Coalition and Industries of Contents - that defends the interests of the industries of movies, music, video games and books in Internet - and since it is not part of the permanent commission.
Although it is a news that Net users and Coalition feel in a table to defend his respective positions, it is of regretting that the Government has not had the same deference with the associations of Net users, previously to the presentation of the First Final Disposition of the Draft of the so called Law of Sustainable Economy, endorsed by the Creators' Coalition.
